Through Water Deep by Sarah Sundin : Book Review

Through Waters Deep Book Review - Pure TradtionsI was truly surprised by Sarah Sundrin’s book “Through Water Deep”. It made me laugh, cry and sit on the edge of my seat. This lovely historical novel will capture your heart. Every character you see in the book such as Mary, or Jim, you feel as if they are in the same room with you. Mary Stirling is a loveable character, you feel everything she feels in the book from her fear, to her inquisitive mind, or the love she has for others around her.

Sarah Sundin’s writing style is one that will keep you from putting her books down. At the end of the book, you feel as if you were each character. And I have read many books, this one will definitely be on my list of favorites.

Mary Stirling works in a naval yard. But when it looks like someone is sabotaging the boats, will she be able to figure out who could have done it? Will her friendship with Jim ever be more?

Jim Avery is a friend of Mary’s from high school. He never really noticed Mary though because of his high school crush on her best friend, Quintessa. With war on the threshold of the country, will Jim be able to find out where his path is leading?

If you are looking for a book to casually read over a period of several months, this is NOT the book for you. This adventure packed book will have you turning the pages as fast as you can read. I loved this book, and plan to read it again.
