Out Of The Embers – Book Review

Out Of The Embers by Amanda Cabot was a fairly good read. I will give it four stars out of five. In this story, we follow a young woman who grew up in an orphanage, and her young charge.

Overall the story was decent. I enjoyed the romance that was woven in. But the reason I give it only four stars is that I found the plot to be a little slow and predictable. I felt like all the action was packed into the last few chapters.

I did like how the characters grew throughout the book. And I will most likely read the second book in the series because her side characters in this story were pretty interesting to me. I felt like they really made this story have more depth.

With the slower plot and the predictability aside, I enjoyed this book. It won’t be one I read again soon but it was entertaining and it did make me want to read the second book so now I will have to wait for that to come out. I would recommend this book if you want to read something over the course of a few days. And be prepared to get attached to some of the characters!

*I received this book from the publisher. All reviews are my own opinion.
