Book Review: Prairie Song By Mona Hodgson
This first book in the series “Hearts Seeking Home”, Mona Hodgson created another great read with this book Prairie Song. It picks up from her last series, and includes some of the same characters as they head west with a wagon train. As the characters travel west, you feel as if you are there with them experiencing all they are seeing and going through.
Anna Goben wants change for her mother and grandfather and enlists them on a wagon train headed west. She hopes the trip will help ease the loss of her brother with her mother and grandfather. As they embark on their adventure west, Anna is left caring for her mother, and has to try and keep a secret that has a hold on her mother and her.
Caleb Reger has secrets of his own, ones that he knows if found out could put his and Anna’s blooming friendship at risk. As he watches out for danger with the wagon train and keeps his eye on Anna, Caleb finds out what it’s like to fall in love. But will Anna return his feelings?
This book was definitely one i could not put down. I highly recommend it if you like old west type books.
