The Woods Edge : Book Review

9781601427328

The Woods Edge, written by Lori Benton, will have you on the edge of your seat. When you open this book you are taken to a time when British colonists and the Oneida Indians live near each other in the frontier of New York. Major Reginald Aubrey makes a decisions on the day Fort William Henry falls, a decision that impacts not only his family, but another family as well. But when the truth starts coming out years later, Reginald Aubrey has to live with the choices he has made.

Anna, Reginald’s adopted daughter, befriends a mysterious Oneida boy named Two Hawks. As the years go by and their friendships turns to love, Anna soon finds out a secret that has been kept for many years. Will this secret tear apart the love she has for Two Hawks, or will it draw them closer?

This lovely book has the theme of forgiveness written throughout. This suspenseful book will leave you wanting more by the end of the last page. The only downside to this book is that the next one won’t be out until 2016. I really enjoyed this book and recommend it if you are looking for a great book to read this summer!
