Luther and Katharina :Book Review
Luther and Katharina written by Jody Hedlund is a fascinating new look into history. This novel takes you back to the 16th century where Luther’s reformation is sweeping the Catholic church. Katharina, a nun who escaped the confines of the church, is thrown into the real world outside of her sheltered life.
Luther remains alone, not wanting to risk harm on anyone. Tensions rise between the church and those who follow Luther’s teachings. Kathrarina enters Luther’s life, but will the attraction between them turn to something else, or will the tension mount ruining any chances he would have with her.
This lovely book is unique and will take you back to the 16th century. This historical novel is very well written. You will love the adventure, the love story, and the history. At first it was a little slow for me. But after the first few chapters I really got into it. By the end, I realized what a great book I had just read. This book truly brings history to life. If you love a good historical novel, you will love this book!
