Haunting At Bonaventure Circus: Review

Okay, let me start out by saying this is not a genre I typically read. So take that in mind when reading this review. I wanted to branch out and read something different. And this book fits the bill.
Haunting At Bonaventure Circus is written by Jaime Jo Wright. It’s a split time novel, going back and forth between two characters in two different time periods. First off, this made it slightly confusing for me, thankfully each switch had the name of the character so that helped.
I honestly couldn’t read this alone at night. It was just a tad (haha a LOT) suspenseful. What made the story interesting is one of the characters had a chronic illness. You don’t see many books touching on this and I appreciated that about his book.
It starts off a little slow for me but it picks up to the point you are dying to figure out what happens. I’m not going to give any spoilers away because I think you should read it for yourself. Overall I liked this book. Not sure if I will branch out and read another in this genre or not but I am glad I read this book. And I think you may enjoy it also.
*I received this book for free from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.
