A Beauty Refined : Book Review

A Beauty Refined written by Tracie Peterson is a well written keep you on the edge kind of book. The characters are well developed, and the plot and twists keep you reading. The story takes place in Helena, Montana. I was instantly transported to Montana through this book. From sapphires to suspense, this is one book you won’t want to put down. This book is second in the Sapphire Brides series.

Phoebe Von Bergen is visiting the United States for the first time with her father. Coming all the way from Germany to purchase sapphires. Ian Harper finds Phoebe Von Bergen very intriguing and is curious at her father’s business in the area. Ian is the local lapidary and finds his life interwoven with that of the Von Bergen’s.  As Ian gets to know Phoebe, he realized that her family story is based on a lie, one that she has no clue of. Phoebe wants to stay in America no matter what her father’s plans are, but as the truth comes out about her father and his lies things begin to unravel for Phoebe.

The suspense, sapphires, and romance are what make this book great. Traci Peterson has outdone herself yet again. The only downfall to reading this book is that I finished it so quickly! I look forward to the third book in the Sapphire Brides series.

*I received this book from Bethany House in exchange for an honest review.
